Common Clarifications & Support

Find quick answers to help you navigate your family's journey.

What is the LEAF Wraparound program?
LEAF Wraparound is a love-based educational and support program specifically designed for adoptive families. We provide specialized coaching, training, and coordination to help families navigate challenges and build stronger, healthier relationships.
Who is eligible for your services?
Our services are for families who adopted through the foster system, receive Adoption Assistance Program (AAP) benefits, and live in one of the 20 California counties we serve, listed below. AAP is what funds the program, which is why there is no cost to your family.
What does 'Love-Based Education' mean?
It means our approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and understanding. We believe that while love is the foundation, families also need specialized knowledge and tools (especially trauma-informed care) to truly thrive.
How do I get started with the program?
You can start by contacting us through our website or by attending one of our introductory webinars. We'll then schedule an initial consultation to understand your family's unique needs and how we can best support you.
Are your staff qualified to work with traumatized children?
Yes, our staff are Certified Trauma-Informed and hold extensive experience in working with traumatized children and families. We operate under the direct clinical supervision of Jeanette Yoffe.
Is there a cost for your services?
There is no cost to your family. Wraparound is funded through the Adoption Assistance Program (AAP), a California state subsidy, so nothing is billed to you, there is no out-of-pocket cost, and nothing varies with the services your family needs.
What is High Fidelity Wraparound?
High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) is an evidence-based care model recognized by the state of California. It brings together a team of professionals and trusted community members around your family to build a personalized support plan. Unlike traditional therapy, HFW focuses on your family's strengths, culture, and goals.
Which counties in California do you serve?
We currently serve families across the 20 counties we serve in Northern and Central California, including Del Norte, Trinity, Mendocino, Shasta, Tehama, Glenn, Butte, Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Yolo, Sutter, Yuba, Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, San Joaquin, Calaveras, Stanislaus, and Merced. If your county is not listed, please contact us. Our coverage is constantly expanding.
How long does the program last?
The program is flexible and adapts to each family's needs. On average, families participate for around 14 months. AAP may fund wraparound services for up to 18 months per episode, with the option to request an additional 18 months for a new episode or condition.
